Equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) focuses on the legislative requirements, policies and equality standard within the NHS. It can be information-heavy and can sometimes feel too ‘big’ to do anything about, therefore falling to senior leadership teams to tackle.
Our training empowers colleagues working in cancer services to understand and tackle health inequalities themselves. It increases knowledge and confidence to address health inequalities within your own role; and provides practical steps and support on how to address health inequalities and improve patient experience. This approach encourages staff in all areas of an organisation to see health inequalities as their own responsibility, and supports them to take action.
If you participated in either the 123 Approach to Health Inequalities and Patient Experience training or Facilitator eLearning packages, you will receive access to your certificate and resources immediately following completion.
If you attended the Extended Edition of the training (online or face to face), you will be sent a copy of your certificate and a link to enable you to access the resources via email within … days.
Organisations can deliver the training in-house, using Facilitators who have completed the Facilitator training and are approved to deliver the 123 Approach training.

Health Inequality and Patient Experience (HIPE) Networks can provide a platform for sharing updates and best practice within organisations/regions, and incites partnership working across the system.
