Accessibility statement for The Cancer Academy
The website has been developed during a period from October 2024 to January 2025 with their appointed digital partner Frank Design, a digital agency specialising in the development of websites for the NHS.
We have tried to make sure that this website is available to as broad an audience as possible.
This accessibility statement applies to Cancer Academy – Online Cancer Education & Training and was prepared on November 20th, 2024. It reflects the status of the site following accessibility tests carried out by Frank Design throughout the preceding design and development process.
This website is run by The Cancer Academy Team at Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts
- zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We have also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
