Inspiring the Future Workforce
Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance have been working in collaboration with NHS England, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre and CIC One Wirral to bring an experience of the cancer services workforce to Year 10’s from selected schools across the Boroughs of the Liverpool City Region at Liverpool Hope University in June 2024 and University of Chester, Warrington Campus in July 2025.
Following the success of both events, and as part of our workforce programme, in 2026 we are planning another event for Year 12’s to explore real NHS careers at Liverpool Hope University in June.
Information on a few of the roles that are available in hospitals across the Liverpool City Region and Cheshire and Merseyside can be viewed below. Under each heading below you will find a brief, one-sentence description of the purpose of the role, salary ranges in 2026 2027, entry qualification requirements, insight to skills needed and links to other NHS websites for more information.
You can shape the future career information material we produce. If you are in year 7, 8, 9 or 10 – have your say! Complete our short anonymous, four-question survey that will help shape the future of NHS cancer career information in development. We’d love to hear your thoughts! Please click the link below – this survey is open until April 26.
